Most insurance companies and the police now recomend that 5 lever locks to BS 3621 are fitted to all external doors, and in some cases insurance claims may be rejected if this is not the case.
Below is a small selection of locks that are available:-

5 Lever Mortice Deadlock
These locks are fitted in a slot (mortice) in the edge of the door. They are locked/unlocked by a key from either side. Suitable for all external doors. |

Euro Profile Cylinder
These are ideally suited for fitting to mortice locks on communal doors (as required by fire regulations). For this purpose, they can be supplied with a turn-knob. Models with registered keys are availabe. |

Multipoint Locks
These locks are particularly suited for double glazing doors. They operate by lifting the handle to engage the multipoint locking system and turning a key to lock. |

5 Lever Sash Locks
A mortice with deadlocking and latch operation. Deadbolt is locked/unlocked by key from either side. Latch is withdrawn by handle from either side. Suitable for all external doors. |

Nightlatch
Key operated from outside, handle operated from inside. Bolt can be deadlocked or held back by snib for inside. For added security against duplication of keys the cylinder can have a registration attached to it. |
